VOCON Energy Ltd is a business previously specialising in the installation of Gas and Electric smart meters and are now going to share and further grow our experience into the water metering sector. Our management team has over 45 years’ experience within the industry, we have now taken the opportunity to support and underpin the Smart Meter project.
Job description/Role
Vocon Energy are looking to expand our diverse network of engineers as we are going to recruit Water Meter Technicians to support one of our blue-chip clients in the Manchester area. We are looking for engineers with previous plumbing experience in this industry, although training may be offered to the right candidate.
Details:
· Upgrading and exchanging external water meters. Plumbing experience and qualifications would be advantageous but not essential for the right candidate. Experience in changing water meters would be highly beneficial.
· Monday – Friday work (Standard shift pattern - 8am-5pm)
· 10-6pm shift pattern also available. Saturdays and bank holiday work also available.
· 5 years work programmed and ready to deliver
Engineer Requirements
- Full UK Driving License with no more than 6 penalty points
- Ability to use handheld IT device to complete and record jobs
- Ability to pass a DBS check
- Willingness to develop within the industry
- Plumbing experience and/or qualifications will be advantageous.
· Excellent verbal communication and people skills as will be talking to customers daily explaining the process of the project and the works required
The Package
- Incentivised payment model, to ensure quality and quantity installations.
- Forecasted annual income of £30,000 - £40,000 dependent on quality and quantity of installations.
- PPE will be supplied
- Vehicle and Fuel card will be provided
- Opportunity to progress and develop new skills within the industry
- 2 week robust onboarding and training program
· Full support in the induction phase and throughout.
