Waste Minimisation Officer

Grade 6 £29,093 - £31,067 per annum

Wyre Council is committed to promoting sustainable waste management and reducing environmental impact. We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Waste Minimisation Officers to join our team as we introduce new food waste collections and service changes to boost recycling and minimise household waste.
You will build relationships with collection colleagues and engage with local residents through face-to-face visits, communication and education to raise awareness, overcome obstacles and encourage participation in collection schemes.
Previous experience of working in a waste background is desirable, however consideration will be given to applicants who can demonstrate they have transferable knowledge and skills. A full UK driving licence will be required, together with the use of a car.
