Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse, contributing to the efficient handling of materials and inventory management. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Load and unload goods from lorries, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Manage shipping and receiving processes, including verifying incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Utilise a Warehouse Management System (WMS) for tracking inventory levels and locations.
- Perform materials handling tasks, including sorting, packing, and storing products.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and report any mechanical issues.
- Assist in maintaining an organised and clean warehouse environment.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational targets.
Requirements
- Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is an advantage.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required (up to 25 kg).
- Experience in shipping and receiving processes is beneficial.
- Background in construction or related fields is a plus.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
