Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Warehouse/Yard Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various tasks related to the efficient operation of our warehouse & yard including receiving numerous deliveries of products & materials used in the nature of our business.
Also we have to recycle certain materials in different elements to comply with current enviromental regulations.
The ideal candidate will need to possess a strong work ethic, with the ability to perform some heavy lifting as required.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload materials from lorries and vans plus ensuring safe handling practices are followed.
- Manage materials handling processes, including sorting, stacking, and storing items appropriately.
- Assist in shipping and receiving activities, ensuring accurate documentation and inventory management.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a warehouse or yard environment is preferred.
- Strong skills in materials handling with an emphasis on safety protocols.
- Capable of performing heavy lifting tasks as required.
- Basic basic maths skills for accurate inventory tracking and material handling.
- A positive attitude and ability to work well within a relaxed team environment.
- A full driving licence is essential.
