Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee our warehouse operations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics and warehouse management, with a focus on optimising business processes and ensuring efficient materials handling.
This role is vital in maintaining the smooth operation of our warehouse, managing staff, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily warehouse activities, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to company policies.
- Manage inventory control processes, including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods.
- Oversee the operation of warehouse management systems and ensure accurate data entry.
- Train and mentor warehouse staff on best practices in materials handling and equipment operation.
- Conduct regular inspections of the warehouse to ensure safety standards are met and equipment is maintained.
- Implement improvements to business processes to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Handle heavy lifting tasks as required, ensuring proper techniques are followed to maintain safety.
Experience
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a warehouse environment.
- Strong knowledge of logistics operations and supply chain management principles.
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues is preferred.
- Proficient in operating forklifts and other materials handling equipment.
- Ability to lift heavy items safely and efficiently.
