Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable Warehouse Operative/Forklift Driver to join our warehouse team. This position involves a combination of warehouse tasks, including operating forklifts to move materials, managing inventory, and supporting the day-to-day operations of our e-waste recycling process. The ideal candidate will have a valid forklift license and experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Forklift Operation: Safely operate forklifts to transport, stack, and organise e-waste materials within the warehouse.
- Inventory Management: Assist with stock checks, inventory management, and materials handling. Ensure the accurate documentation of materials received and dispatched.
- Warehouse Support: Assist with the loading and unloading of e-waste shipments. Sort and separate materials for recycling as required.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations to ensure a safe working environment. Maintain a clean and organised warehouse.
- General Warehouse Duties: Perform other tasks as needed, such as packaging, labelling, and assisting with sorting and processing e-waste materials.
Qualifications:
- Valid Forklift License (required)
- Previous warehouse or logistics experience preferred
- Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery safely and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Familiarity with safety protocols and environmental regulations in the waste or recycling industry
- Full UK driving license (preferred)
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs) and work in a physically demanding environment
- Team player with good communication skills
