About Us
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Operative to join our team at our Thurrock branch. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by performing various tasks related to materials handling, stock management, and order fulfilment. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
We are suppliers and distributors of insulation and associated products working with market leading dry Lining and insulation manufacturers. We are also a majority employee owned business. Duties
- Perform picking and packing of orders accurately and efficiently.
- Load and unload goods from lorries, ensuring safe handling practices are followed.
- Maintain the warehouse in a clean, safe and tidy condition
- Operate equipment as needed, including pallet jacks and forklift truck.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational targets and improve workflow processes.
About You
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Previous Forklift Truck experience is essential.
- Builders merchants or distribution experience preferred.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail for accurate order processing.
- Knowledge of materials handling procedures and safety regulations within a warehouse setting.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Flexibility and a "can do" attitude
