Alan T Carr Supplies Ltd are the leading distributors of plumbing, heating and sanitaryware supplying plumbing wholesalers throughout the UK. Our distribution centre, warehouse and sales team are based in Burscough and we are currently looking to recruit a Warehouse Operative/Relief Rriver to join our team.
Within the role you will be required to load vehicles, pick orders, unload deliveries as well as maintaining a high standard of work practices. The role reports into the Warehouse & Transport Manager and will be working within the Warehouse and Distribution team. It will also involve working outdoors on our forecourts, and it will be necessary to lift heavy objects on a regular basis.
The majority of work is by hand and this is a physically demanding job.
The company operates a fleet of 3.5T Vans & 7.5T HGV's with an internal team of drivers. On occasion where necessary you will be required to make deliveries using company vehicles. A history of professional driving experience is essential. It is important that you give excellent customer service, as you will be the Company representative to that particular customer.
The working shift pattern is Monday - Friday, 05:30am - 14:30pm with a 45 minute break.
