As a multi-skilled operative, you will play a vital part of our operations, responsible for a wide range of tasks to ensure the smooth running of our warehouse.
We have a vacancy on the back shift working 3pm-midnight with 2 x 30 minute unpaid breaks. The shift will be Tuesday to Saturday, with Sunday and Monday as rest days. It may also be necessary at times to work outside these hours to meet the demands of the business.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in a range of distribution activities including accurately picking and preparing orders for dispatch.
- Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Unloading and loading lorries.
- Maintaining a safe working environment.
- Carry out tasks effectively as part of a close-knit team.
- Unloading and loading lorries using a Power Pallet Truck (training will be provided).
- Assisting in replenishing duties.
- Collaborating with team members to optimise warehouse processes.
This is also an integral role within the quality assurance process enabling us to deliver the highest standards to our customers.
Key knowledge and skills required:
- Basic numeracy skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Team player.
- Self-motivation.
- Ability to read and follow instructions.
- A flexible outlook in terms of both shifts worked and duties undertaken.
- Willingness to undertake Power Pallet Truck training (if not already qualified).
