The Role
We’re looking for a reliable and energetic Operations Assistant / Driver to support our day-to-day operations. You’ll be responsible for delivering and collecting items across London, preparing equipment, and ensuring everything is in top condition for our customers.
This is a hands-on, customer-facing role ideal for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in doing a job well, and cares about making a positive impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivery & Collection: Drive our electric vans to deliver and collect rental items to and from various sites and customers across London.
- Item Handling: Load, unload, and transport a variety of household and event equipment safely and securely.
- Customer Interaction: Represent WhyBuy at the customer’s door—friendly, professional, and helpful.
- Inventory Prep: Clean, check, and prepare items for upcoming deliveries to ensure high standards.
- Warehouse Support: Assist with organizing and maintaining the warehouse, including restocking and basic maintenance.
- Reporting: Flag any issues with vehicles, equipment, or deliveries to the operations team.
What We’re Looking For
- A full UK manual driving license (with a clean record)
- Previous experience in delivery, logistics, warehouse, or a similar hands-on role
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Physically fit and comfortable with lifting and moving items
- Punctual, reliable, and able to follow schedules and instructions
- Familiarity with London streets and routing apps
- Experience with EVs is a bonus, but not required
