Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various tasks within the warehouse environment, ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently. This role involves loading and unloading goods, managing stock levels, and supporting shipping and receiving activities. A strong focus on safety and attention to detail is essential.
Duties
- Receive, unload and store incoming inventory items according to established procedures.
- Check received shipments for accuracy and report any discrepancies or damages.
- Prepare orders by processing requests and supply orders, picking, packing, labelling, and staging items for delivery or shipment.
- Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse environment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist in inventory management activities
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks and hand trucks safely and efficiently.
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks as needed.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve warehouse goals and objectives.
- Follow company policies and procedures regarding warehouse operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience with forklift operation is a plus; relevant training will be provided if necessary.
- Skills in materials handling, including heavy lifting, are essential.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks in a warehouse setting.
- Proficiency in using warehouse equipment and machinery (training can be provided)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory handling
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Willingness to follow safety guidelines and procedures.
- Flexibility to work in various shifts and overtime as needed.
