Job Overview
As a Warehouse Operator, you will work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating efficiency, attention to detail, and a commitment to achieving performance targets. Due to the physical nature of the tasks, a moderate level of fitness is necessary.
Reporting Lines
- Direct Report to: Warehouse Supervisor(s)
- Indirect Report to: Operations Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Execute general warehouse operations and provide support across all areas of the site.
- Goods In: Accurately check supplier deliveries against packing lists or ASNs.
- Use handheld scanners for inventory control and stock management.
- Unload vehicles (containers by hand, pallets, cartons).
- Goods Out: Pick and pack orders according to customer specifications.
- Maintain accurate computerized records using stock inventory and retrieval systems.
- Perform rework and assembly tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Load vehicles correctly, ensuring all process paperwork is completed and filed.
- Operate forklift trucks (desirable, not essential).
- Liaise with Customer Service to meet customer expectations.
- Fulfil customer requests and special instructions with accuracy and care.
- Ensure all documentation is correctly filled out for recharging and audit purposes.
- Display strong competence in the Mintsoft WMS platform.
- Accurately dispatch orders directly from Mintsoft.
- Maintain high productivity levels and meet performance KPIs.
- Undertake additional duties as requested by management, in line with the role.
Key Attributes & Skills
- Strong attention to detail and diligence.
- Excellent IT skills: WMS platforms (Mintsoft preferred), Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook.
- Good literacy and numeracy skills.
- Reliable with excellent timekeeping and attendance.
- Able to work unsupervised and collaboratively within a team.
- Effective under pressure and capable of meeting strict deadlines.
- Eagerness to develop and improve skills within the role.
- Self-motivated and proactive.
- A team-oriented mindset.
- Full compliance with all Health & Safety regulations.
