Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various tasks within the warehouse environment, ensuring smooth operations in loading, unloading, and stock management. Responsibilities
- Load and unload goods from lorries and containers efficiently and safely.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to move products around the facility.
- Assist in shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate documentation and inventory control.
- Build and assemble products as required, adhering to quality standards.
- Maintain an organised warehouse environment by stocking shelves and managing inventory levels.
- Perform picking and packing duties for outgoing orders, ensuring accuracy in order fulfilment.
- Utilise AS400 software for tracking inventory and managing stock levels effectively.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals and maintain a high level of safety.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred but not essential.
- Strong mechanical knowledge is advantageous for operating various equipment.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25 kg) regularly throughout the shift.
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes is beneficial.
- Proficient in using warehouse management systems, particularly AS400, is a plus.
- Valid forklift licence is desirable; training may be provided for the right candidate.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills are essential for success in this role.
- A proactive approach to teamwork and communication within a fast-paced environment.
