We are looking to recruit a warehouse operative and general assistant for our Blackheath warehouse. This can be an immediate start for the right person. This is a great environment for warehousing and logistics work, either for an experienced operative or someone joining at entry level. This is a mixed role where you'll be involved in all aspects of warehousing & logistics: - picking/packing/stock & quality control/palletisation/despatch/customer service etc.
We have a friendly and vibrant atmosphere, with more expansion planned for the business. Warehousing experience is not essential but accuracy, attention to detail, reliability, integrity, self-motivation and productivity are all values that are sought in all areas of our business.
Main elements of the role
Warehouse
- Accepting deliveries and unloading containers (heavy lifting involved)
- Stacking stock in warehouse. Sorting, and rotating stock
- Picking stock, packing and dispatching (heavy lifting involved)
- Select stock from warehouse and pack according to requirements. Consistent accuracy involved to avoid packing errors
- Booking onto courier systems
Quality control
check incoming stock. Separate unsuitable stock and photograph
Production
work with machinery to customise thousands of items
Admin
Customer and supplier communications, primarily by email.
Full training is provided however fluent English and good writing skills are essential for client communications.

Pay: £12.30 per hour
