Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Lead to oversee daily operations within our warehouse. The ideal candidate should show strong leadership skills, initiative and co-ordination skills with other departments.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, ensuring all priorities are executed first.
- Oversee shipping ensuring timely dispatch of correct goods and also ensuring incoming goods are booked in efficiently and correctly.
- Perform heavy lifting as required, assisting with loading and unloading of materials.
- Manage stock levels, including picking, packing, and cross checking.
- Train and mentor warehouse staff on best practices and ensure all company policies are maintained and continually followed.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment to promote safety and efficiency.
Skills
- Proven experience in a warehouse environment with a strong understanding of Leadership
- Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently throughout the shift.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail for quality control measures.
- Experience in materials handling, including proper techniques for loading and unloading goods.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage stock effectively.
- Strong communication skills to lead a team effectively in a fast-paced environment.
This role is permanent for the right candidate. No weekend work is required.
