Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Warehouse & Despatch Supervisor to oversee operations related to Goods In, Stores, and Despatch. The successful candidate will ensure efficient handling, storage, and dispatch of goods while maintaining high standards of accuracy, safety, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all warehouse activities, including Goods In, Stores, and Despatch.
- Manage order picking, packing, and despatch to meet customer and business requirements.
- Maintain a safe and organised work environment in compliance with company policies and health & safety regulations.
- Monitor KPIs to ensure efficient warehouse operations.
- Communicate with transport providers and internal departments.
- Create, own and deploy a regular stock check (perpetual inventory) and audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Record and report discrepancies by value, quantity and stock code for trend analysis.
- Create, own and deploy are regular systematic routine for discontinuing slowing moving stock in accordance with approved level of authorisation.
The successful candidate will have experience in Investigating and resolving discrepancies or issues related to stock, deliveries, and shipments. The will also be able to identify via data collection & analysis opportunities for production continuous improvement. Facilitate agreed actions and show sustained improvements.
The person who fulfils this role will own, deploy, ensure adherence the production processes and associated documentation ensuring compliance with current ISO9001.
You will also ensure effective ‘production team’ communication with members of the manufacturing management team, sales, accounts, HR, supply chain & customers as required.
With your team team you will:

- Ensure deployment and adherence to the business HR policies.
Withing the warehouse you will:
- be accountable for keeping Warehouse costs to a minimum whilst ensuring the quality and efficiency.
- Driving improvements and maintaining gains in efficiency.
- Driving and reporting on labour ‘Net Cost’ improvements, driven by cost down, waste reduction and efficiency improvement projects.
- understand and deploy the business health & safety and Environmental protocols.
- Ensure the general tidiness throughout area of responsibilities.
- Report any incidents or ‘near misses.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a supervisory or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, including Goods In, Inventory Management, and Despatch.
- Ability to lead and develop a team effectively.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS) and stock control software.
Forklift license (desirable but not essential).
MRP (SolviTT) maintenance (desirable but not essential).
