Wing Yip is the UK’s leading Oriental food retailer, supplying quality products to both the public and the catering trade. Our Croydon branch is a busy and dynamic environment, and we’re looking for a Warehouse Assistant to join our operations team.
Role Overview
As a Warehouse Assistant, you will support the smooth running of our warehouse by ensuring goods are received, stored, and dispatched efficiently. You will work as part of a team to keep stock organised and maintain a safe, clean working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, check, and unload deliveries
- Organise and store goods in the correct locations
- Pick and prepare orders for dispatch to customers and store departments
- Assist with regular stock counts and inventory checks
- Keep the warehouse clean, tidy, and safe at all times
- Operate manual handling equipment (training provided)
- Work closely with colleagues to meet daily targets
Requirements
- Previous warehouse or stock-handling experience is an advantage, but not essential (training will be given)
- Good level of physical fitness – able to lift and move stock safely
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a team
- Reliable, punctual, and organised
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
