Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by managing the flow of goods and materials. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload goods from lorries and containers, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery safely and efficiently.
- Manage inventory using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track stock levels and locations.
- Perform picking and packing of orders accurately to meet shipping deadlines.
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes, verifying quantities and conditions of products.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the warehouse to promote safety and efficiency.
- Conduct regular stock checks and assist with stocking shelves as needed.
- Handle materials with care, ensuring compliance with safety regulations during heavy lifting tasks.
- Utilise mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance of warehouse machinery
Skills
- Proven experience in a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Proficient in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (MK11) for inventory control.
- Strong skills handling, including heavy lifting capabilities.
- Experience with picking, packing, shipping, and receiving processes.
