Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests with a friendly attitude, ensuring they feel valued and comfortable.
- Take accurate food and drink orders using the restaurant's ordering system.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while adhering to food safety standards.
- Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales.
- Assist in food preparation when required, ensuring high standards of culinary presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area and kitchen.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and address any guest concerns.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure all guests receive prompt attention.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including basic maths for bill calculations.
Requirements
- Previous experience in the hospitality industry is preferred but not essential.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently.
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest satisfaction.
- A basic understanding of food preparation processes is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to work well within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
