Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our vibrant team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in upselling menu items, maintaining food safety standards, and delivering outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Take accurate food and drink orders, ensuring all details are communicated clearly to the kitchen staff.
- Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience and maximise sales.
- Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring presentation meets our high standards.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their meal, addressing any concerns or requests promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including tables, utensils, and condiments.
- Assist with food preparation as needed, adhering to food safety guidelines at all times.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and timely delivery of orders.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, using basic maths skills for billing purposes.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not essential.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and culinary basics is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly disposition towards guests and team members alike.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- A willingness to help colleagues and contribute positively to the team atmosphere.
