WHAT YOU WILL DO

The key responsibilities for this role will include but are not limited to:

  • Creating an exceptional dining experience for members and their guests.
  • Presenting menu and provide detailed information when asked including allergens information.
  • Making sure all service mise en place is ready in advance; including table set-up, cutlery, napkins, salt and pepper filled, etc.
  • Meeting with restaurant colleagues to review daily specials, changes on the menu and service specifications for reservations.
  • Supporting, training, and developing any new members of the team and making them feel welcome.
  • Up-selling additional products as and when appropriate in a subtle and conversational manner.
  • Taking accurate food and drinks orders, using our till system, ordering slips or by memorisation as appropriate.
  • Checking dishes and dining utensils for cleanliness and presentation and reporting any problems to the culinary and management teams.
  • Presenting the bill and processing payments in line with our standards and SOP’s.
  • Arranging table settings and maintaining a tidy dining area.
  • Removing dirty items from tables to avoid clutter in a timely manner.
  • Feeling empowered making a decision that will enhance the member experience or defuse any complaints which may arise.
  • Adhering to all Health and Safety procedures particularly relating to food and beverage items.


PERSONAL PROFILE

  • Proven experience in a luxury / lifestyle multi-outlet food and beverage operation.
  • Stays up to date with current hospitality food trends and best practices.
  • Must be able to work flexibly including evenings and weekends due to the operational hours of the club.
  • Excellent communication skills and comfortable talking to colleagues, senior management and being front of house building relationships with our members.
  • A genuine passion for hospitality and hosting.
