Artyfacts delivers unique art classes to primary, Infant, and Junior schools in Brighton and Hove. Art clubs run after school, 3-4 days a week, at various schools on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays from 3 to 5 pm. Each class has approx. 30 children, and there is a child-to-adult ratio of 8:1.
Roles include:
- Setting up venues for the children's arrival.
- Encouraging children in their projects
- Assimilating art skills
- Preparing children for the collection and meeting their parents.
- Tidying up after sessions.
I am looking for two volunteer teaching assistants to start at the beginning of the Autumn term, on 8th, 9th, and 10th August 2025, who are available to help on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday afternoons from 3:00 - 5:30 and can commit for a term.
The position would suit a person who values children and is punctual and reliable, with initiative and a willingness to work hard and get messy. Knowledge of artistic techniques and experience working with children is a bonus.
