Salary: £20,768 - £21,717 per annum (actual salary)
Annual Leave: 30 days per annum plus bank holidays
Contractual hours: 37 hours per week, 40 weeks
Basis: Term time, Permanent

We are excited to announce we are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Vocational Learning and Pastoral Support Coach to join our dynamic Adult and Community Learning team. In this vital role, you will support young people aged 16–18 who are not currently in education, employment, or training (NEET), helping them re-engage with learning and realise their potential.
What You’ll Be Doing:
As a Vocational Learning/ Pastoral Support Coach, you will:
- Be the Vocational Learning and Pastoral Support Coach within the ACL department for the 16-18 NEET provision.
- Work closely with the Curriculum area and have an input into planning and preparing for lessons.
- Ensure learning support is provided in all classes within the NEET provision as managed by the CTL including assisting with the modification and preparation of learning materials. (Maximum of 30 hours per week on timetable).
- Prioritise the High Needs of learners when required, including offering SEMH support.
- Attend regular Additional Learning Support Good Practice Forums, Vocational Learning Coach, and ‘At Risk’ meetings, regularly reporting Curriculum developments to the CTL or AD.
What We’re Looking For:
We seek candidates who:
- An appropriate Level 2 qualification or equivalent, in supporting students with learning difficulties/care or the commitment to complete within an agreed timescale
- Grade C or above in Maths and English (or equivalent).
- Youth Work qualification (Desirable)
- Safeguarding qualification (Desirable)
- A commitment to undertake any mandatory training relevant to the role.
- Risk Assessment Qualification – Desirable.
- First Aid Qualification – Desirable.
