Vehicle Breakdown Recovery Controller
Join our dedicated 24/7 vehicle recovery team, where delivering outstanding support to both customers and contractors is at the heart of what we do.
We currently have openings for both day and night shifts, structured around a 12-hour, four-on/four-off rota. This front-line role involves being the initial point of contact for customers and drivers in need of breakdown assistance, making strong communication and customer service skills essential. As we operate every day of the year, the role includes working some weekends, bank holidays, and occasionally on your own.
Key Responsibilities
As a Recovery Controller, you'll coordinate the deployment of recovery drivers and oversee the progress of active jobs. You'll be expected to handle inbound calls, manage RMS communications, and help ensure the smooth running of operations. While experience in logistics or dispatch is preferred, full training on our internal systems will be provided.
You should be comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high service standards. Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel is required, as well as strong English and Maths skills. Familiarity with the geography of North Kent and the motorway network is also a plus.

- Background in dispatch or recovery operations
- Experience using APEX and RMS system
- Strong knowledge of local routes and areas
- Confident working with Word and Excel

- Previous experience in call handling and logistics
- Excellent customer service background
- Ability to meet time-sensitive targets
Details:
- Pay: £12 - £14 per hour depending on experience/skills
- 31 days holiday (pro rata to 22 days based on 4-on/4-off rota)
