S&S Distribution is excited to offer a full-time role for an experienced 3.5T van driver to join our growing team based at our depot in Tonbridge.
Our ideal candidate needs:
- A clean Cat B driving licence held for a minimum of 2 years. Please note you must be aged at least 21 years to apply for this role due to fleet insurance requirements.
- At least 1 year of 3.5T van driving experience – preferably with some experience of using vans with tail-lifts.
- A positive, proactive attitude, and commitment to safety and customer service
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- To be physically fit and capable of handling the demands of the role
- A strong attitude towards compliance with safety procedures
- An eagerness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
Working hours:
Monday to Friday, 07:00 until finish (average 10-hour day including breaks). Occasional Saturday work may be available as overtime.
About the role:
This is more than just a driving job. Our drivers complete multiple collections and deliveries of palletised freight each day, encountering a wide variety of goods, premises, and people. No two days are the same, and every day brings fresh challenges and opportunities to learn.
You’ll be one of the front faces of our company, representing our brand, interacting with customers and colleagues across the South-East predominantly in the TN, BN, BR, DA & ME postcode areas. We will support you with training to build confidence in navigating the local area and delivering excellent service.
