Due to the continued success and expansion of our business, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Van Driver to join our team at Aylesbury Branch
The Role
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Van Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. This role requires excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to customer service.
Responsibilities
- Operate a van to deliver goods to various locations in a timely manner.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, ensuring it is in good working condition.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring they are secured properly for transport.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
- Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies while driving.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any concerns or queries from clients.
- Assist in warehouse duties as needed, including inventory management and organisation of goods.
Experience
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or van driver is preferred.
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety practices is essential.
- Experience in warehouse operations is an advantage.
- Mechanical knowledge of vehicles is beneficial for troubleshooting minor issues on the road.
- Strong communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with customers and team members.
- Ability to work independently while managing time efficiently to meet delivery deadlines.
The Hours
Week:1 Monday to Friday 07:00-17:15
Week:2 Monday to Friday 07:00-17:15 Saturday 08:00-12:00
