Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and adaptable Utility Services Agent to join our growing team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the smooth operation of utility services at our facilities, ensuring seamless transitions for customers and maintaining excellent relationships with suppliers. The ideal candidate will bring energy business sector experience, enabling them to manage complex utility processes with ease while supporting the efficient and effective delivery of our services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Tenant Changeovers: Coordinate with utility suppliers to facilitate timely and accurate tenancy changes, ensuring smooth transitions and accurate billing.
- Supplier Liaison: Directly communicate with utility suppliers to resolve any account-related issues, ensuring prompt and efficient solutions.
- Customer Account Management: Oversee customer accounts, delivering exceptional service, maintaining up-to-date records, and promptly addressing any queries or concerns.
- Data Entry & Accuracy: Accurately perform data entry tasks to ensure all account details are correct, avoiding any disruptions to service.
- Operational Process Improvements: Continuously analyse internal processes and recommend improvements to optimize utility management operations.
- Team Support: Remain flexible to support the broader team by taking on additional tasks as necessary, contributing to overall team success.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Energy Sector Experience: Proven experience in the energy or utility business sector, with a strong understanding of utility services, particularly the change-of-tenancy process. This is essential to effectively manage customer accounts and navigate supplier interactions.
- Excellent Communication: Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve issues and provide timely updates.
- Customer-Centric Mindset: A strong focus on delivering excellent customer service, especially when managing distressed or frustrated clients, ensuring their issues are addressed with empathy and efficiency.
- Attention to Detail: Precision and accuracy in processing tenancy changes, managing customer accounts, and ensuring smooth utility transitions.
- Problem-Solving: Quick-thinking and resourceful in identifying and resolving issues, especially when dealing with utility suppliers or customer concerns.
- Multitasking & Time Management: Able to efficiently juggle multiple accounts and tasks, prioritizing urgent issues without compromising quality.
- Negotiation Skills: Experience in negotiating with utility suppliers to secure the best possible outcomes for our customers.
- Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to adapt to changing customer needs or internal processes.
- Team Collaboration: A team player who actively contributes to a positive and supportive work environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience working directly with utility suppliers and understanding their processes, particularly in tenant changeover and account management.
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and best practices in the utility industry.
