Join Our Team as a Used Car Buyer at Marriott Motor Group!
Are you a motivated and experienced professional in the used car market? Marriott Motor Group is expanding our Used Car Department, and we are looking for a dynamic Used Car Buyer to support our Used Car strategy. This role can be based in either Norfolk or Suffolk with bases in Kings Lynn, Bury St Edmunds or Ipswich, with the flexibility of hybrid working.
Key Responsibilities:
Utilise your extensive knowledge of car specifications across various manufacturers to acquire the best vehicles at the best prices from auctions, fleet sales, finance companies, rental companies, and dealer groups.
You will have a strong understanding of the automotive sector and used car market. You will be negotiating with car sellers and agreeing prices on their vehicles, organising the paperwork and liaising pick up of their vehicle.
Collaborate with buying and pricing team members to maximize data use and stay ahead of auction trends.
Ensure purchased vehicles meet our strict specifications, maintain low return rates, and align refurbishment costs with the budget.
You will be responsible for:
- Negotiating contracts and pricing with suppliers to secure favourable terms.
- Coordinating vehicle deliveries and ensuring compliance with company standards.
- Liaising with internal teams to understand vehicle specifications and requirements.
- Maintaining accurate records of procurement activities and supplier performance.
- Analysing market trends to identify potential suppliers and assess their capabilities.
- Developing strategies to optimise the vehicle supply chain.
