Overview
Due to our rapid growth, We are urgently seeking community care workers in Market Harborough, Desborough & Rothwell to provide high-quality support and assistance to individuals in need of care. As a Carer you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This position is ideal for individuals who have a passion for helping others and possess the necessary skills to provide exceptional care.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients' health conditions.
- Help with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in condition to the appropriate personnel.
- Support clients with behavioural management strategies, particularly those with dementia or other cognitive impairments.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective care plans.
- Provide hospice care when required, ensuring dignity and comfort for clients in their final stages of life.
Requirements
- Previous experience in home care or a similar caregiving role is desirable.
- DBS on the update service
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, if required.
- Its is desirable but not essential you have a full driving license and access to a car.
