We are looking for an experienced Transport Planner to join our cable distribution team. This full-time role is based in a busy, fast-paced environment and is key to ensuring efficient and reliable delivery of cable and related products across the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate daily vehicle schedules for cable distribution
- Monitor and adjust routes in real-time to maintain delivery performance
- Work closely with drivers, warehouse staff, and customers to ensure timely deliveries
- Maintain compliance with transport regulations and company standards
- Accurately record and report all transport activities and performance data
Requirements:
- Proven experience in transport planning (experience in cable or construction materials distribution is an advantage)
- Good geographical knowledge and a strong understanding of logistics processes
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Comfortable using transport planning software and Microsoft Office
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
