**Job Opportunity: Trainee Sign Fitter**
**Location:** Rochester, Medway
**Position Type:** Self-employed
**Main Duties:** - Assist in the installation of various types of signage, including illuminated and non-illuminated signs, banners, and vinyl graphics. - Perform site surveys to assess and prepare for installations. - Ensure all signs are installed safely and securely, following company and industry standards. - Conduct maintenance and repair of existing signs as required. - Work collaboratively with senior fitters and other team members. - Travel across the UK for installations, with some overnight stays.
**Requirements:** - CSCS card - Valid driver's license (over 21 for insurance purposes) - Willingness to work at height - Comfortable working outdoors - Physical fitness and good health for manual handling tasks - Ability to pass a drug test
**Desirable Qualifications (not essential):** - IPAF - PASMA - CAT and GENNY cards - SSSTS *Company would look to put you through all of these for the right candidate.*
**Ideal Candidate:** - Proactive and eager to learn new skills. - Strong attention to detail. - Excellent communication skills. - Ability to work well in a team as well as independently. - Reliable and punctual. - Flexible with working hours and travel requirements.
**Compensation:** - Pay dependent on experience but will be above minimum wage - Guaranteed 40 hours per week on a self-employed basis (UTR number required) - Assistance with tax and self-assessment available if needed.
