We’re looking for a Trainee IT Support Technician / Database Administrator to join our team in Ashton-under-Lyne. No previous work experience is required—just a strong interest in technology, a hunger to learn, and a natural curiosity for how things work.
What You’ll Learn
You’ll receive full training and hands-on experience in a wide range of IT areas, including:
- Microsoft 365 and Windows environments
- Azure and Intune
- Networking fundamentals
- Telephone systems
- PC setup and installation
- IT security practices
Over time, you’ll take on responsibility for managing our internal IT systems, network, user PCs, and all related infrastructure.
You’ll also support the maintenance of our MySQL backend systems. While not essential, experience or familiarity with any of the following would be a bonus:
- Microsoft Access with VBA
- Visual Basic
- MySQL/MariaDB
- Debian Linux
- Network firewalls
- Python (especially Flask)
- Proxmox virtualisation
You’ll be working in a small, supportive IT team of three people, where you'll gain real responsibility and long-term development opportunities.
