We are seeking a skilled and versatile individual to join our team as a Trainee Carpenter. This role requires a strong background in various construction and fabrication tasks, with an emphasis on quality workmanship and attention to detail. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of duties that support our projects, ensuring they are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform fabrication and assembly of components as per project specifications.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various tasks.
- Execute carpentry and joinery work, including the installation of structures and fixtures.
- Hand Sanding
- Conduct heavy lifting as necessary to support factory activities.
- Engage in factory sanding, assembling that meet aesthetic and quality requirements.
- Team play required
- Reading technical drawings and understanding measurements
Skills
- Proficient in fabrication techniques and assembly processes.
- Strong experience with hand tools such as saws, drills, and wrenches.
- Knowledgeable in carpentry practices, including framing and finishing work.
- Familiarity with joinery methods for creating strong connections between materials.
- Capable of operating power tools safely for various construction tasks.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely as part of physical labour requirements.
- Eye for detail in finish quality.
