Job Title: Trainee Accountant ( Associate)
Salary Range: £28,000 - £32,000 depending on experience + excellent benefits

Our firm is a rapidly expanding practice that specialises in providing accounting, audit, taxation and business advisory services to a client base consisting of individuals and businesses, primarily within the music, entertainment and sport industries, as well as High Net Worth Individuals.
The firm is looking for a dynamic AAT qualified trainee accountant with 1-2 years of experience working within a general accountancy practice to assist in preparing accounts on a varied portfolio of clients in our Audit and Financial Reporting Department. The Trainee Accountant will be responsible to ensure that departmental reporting targets are being consistently met in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements for clients including Statutory Accounts (experience of preparing accounts under FRS 105 and FRS 102 is essential).
- Assist in the preparation of Corporation Tax Returns, including tagging of iXBRL accounts and onward submission to HMRC.
- Assist in the preparation of Self-Assessment Tax Returns.
- Assist with the audit of financial statements (experience of working on audits is essential).
- Liaise with clients and various third party organisations including HM Revenue and Customs, financial organisations, tour managers and record labels etc.
Skills: Our Ideal candidate will have the following:
- 1+ years experience, AAT qualified
- Be highly numerate and very confident with double-entry bookkeeping.
- Have previously prepared Statutory Accounts, Corporation Tax Returns, Personal Tax Returns and VAT Returns etc.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Have great attention to detail.
- Have the ability to work on their own and as part of a team.

- Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word and Outlook) - Essential
- CCH Central – Preferable but not essential
- CCH Accounts Production - Preferable but not essential
- Xero - Preferable but not essential
- VT - Preferable but not essential
