We are recruiting for a full-time Toolmaker to join a well-established and growing manufacturing business based in Marsh Barton, Exeter.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous tool room experience, particularly in injection mould/press tools. You’ll be working with a variety of equipment including CNC lathes, mills, EDM machines, lathes and grinders, producing precision tooling for plastic moulded components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manufacture injection moulding inserts (mainly plastic bottle caps and jar lids)
- Operate CNC lathes, mills, EDM and grinding machines
- Repair and maintain injection mould tools
- Carry out insert changes as required
- Ensure tool room stock levels are maintained
- Follow all quality standards and Health & Safety procedures
- Work both independently and as part of a small team
About You:
- Experience in a tool room environment manufacturing injection mould or press tools
- Skilled in operating tool room machinery (CNC, lathes, mills, EDM, grinders etc.)
- Able to work accurately and methodically
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn new processes
