Job Overview
We're on the hunt for an experienced TIG welder who could also assist us in other areas around the workshop, be it operating our CNC press brake or assisting with our van builds. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be proficient in welding techniques, particularly aluminum TIG welding and steel MIG welding our awesome products. This role involves fabricating and assembling components from sheet metal and tubing, ensuring high-quality standards are met throughout the production process.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate and assemble metal components using TIG welding techniques.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to determine the appropriate welding processes.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes and resolve any issues that arise during fabrication.
- Assist in development of jigs for new products
Requirements
- Proven experience as a welder, specifically with TIG welding.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment as needed.
- Experience working with thin sheet metal aluminum is highly desirable.
- Proficient in using various hand tools and power tools relevant to welding tasks.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of our small team.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work in a time efficient manner.
