The Role:
We have a great opportunity for an experienced Therapy Assistant, who would like to broaden their skill set in a role, that will help to evolve and broaden your clinical skills whilst being part of a service that makes a difference to the lives of others.
You will be working with a supportive team of Allied Health Professionals and a dedicated admin team who pride themselves on delivering an excellent service to meet the needs and expectations of our clients. On top of providing an outstanding service to our clients, we also keep our staff and their well-being in our focus, and we would work closely with you to empower you to become your best.
The role will involve but is not limited to:
· Working with children through to adults with a range of disabilities
· Measuring and fitting adult and paediatric clients for dynamic splints and compression garment, both face to face and telehealth (experience not necessary as training on this will be provided)
· Completing notes after fitting appointments
- Completes the relevant order paperwork after each client has been reassessed, submits personalisation and uploads to client profile and summarises outcome of each clinic to the clinical administration team
· Travelling with the therapy team to various locations across the UK & Ireland
· Assisting with administration tasks and client follow up
· Supporting Allied Health Professionals
· Preparation of materials and equipment used at clinics
· Manages the postage of all splints, garments and ReadyFit products across the UK, Ireland and Australia, including arranging shipping, fulfilling shipment and booking videocall appointments
What we are looking for:
· Previous experience working with children or adults who have a disability
· Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, and an ability to put clients at ease
· Flexibility, happy to get involved and be hands on
· You must be available to travel with a supportive team to various locations across the UK and Ireland. All travel arrangements, accommodation and expenses including meals are met by the Company. Occasional Sunday travel is required.
· Strong work ethic and attention to detail in a fast-paced work environment
· Excellent computer and organisation skills with confidence in using MS Office Suite
· A confident team player with a good sense of humour and social skills
· Experience in design and/or measuring clients with disability highly regarded, but not essential for the right candidate.
Essential Criteria for this post:
- Minimum 2 years experience working in health care administration and/or a Therapy Assistant role
- Experience of working with clients with disabilities
- Good spoken and written English
- Enhanced DBS or willingness to gain this
- Advanced computer skills including MS Office
- Be available to travel, including over night stays for up to 5 days at a time including travel on a Sunday when required
- Valid UK Passport or a Passport allowing entry in to the Republic or Ireland and Europe
- Right to work in the UK & Ireland
Desirable criteria for this post:
- Previous experience as an Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy assistant desirable, but other hands on experience within the health care industry may be considered for the right candidate.
- College education within a health and science discipline desirable, but experience within the healthcare industry may be considered for the right candidate
