Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Temporary Care Navigator to join our team. The Care Navigator will play a crucial role in guiding patients through the healthcare system, ensuring they receive the appropriate care and support tailored to their individual needs. This position requires strong organisational skills and the ability to work effectively in an office environment, collaborating with healthcare professionals and patients alike.
Responsibilities
- Process appointment requests and admin queries via the eConsult system, and, or care navigate patients to the most appropriate health care professional.
- Deal with patients by telephone and in person using the Emis Web clinical system.
- Work in accordance with practice protocols, policies & procedures.
- Deal with general enquries and make follow-up appointments.
- Handling and processing prescriptions.
- Process e-mails received in to the practice.
- Register new patients on to the clinical system.
- Respond to tasks and queries from the practice team.
- Input data into the clinical system.
- Scanning of patient information and documentation.
- Open or lock up the building when required.
- Ensure the reception area and waiting area are kepy tidy.
- Work occasional Saturday mornings.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working in an office environment, preferably within a healthcare setting.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail, enabling effective management of multiple tasks.
- Empathy and a genuine desire to help others navigate their healthcare journeys.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Proficiency in using office software applications for documentation and communication purposes.

Contract length: 12 months
Pay: £12.25-£13.45 per hour
Expected hours: 30 per week
