Role Overview
We are looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Technical SEO Executive to join our award-winning digital marketing team in Poole. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for ensuring our client websites are fully optimised for search engine performance, crawlability, and user experience. Using industry-leading SEO tools, you will conduct in-depth technical site audits, follow clear technical marketing plans, and implement best practices to deliver measurable results for our clients.
You will play a key role in advising our customers, developing tailored SEO campaigns, and overseeing the onboarding process to ensure each client’s requirements are fully met. Working closely with the digital team, you will manage deliverables and ensure all planned campaign activities are completed on schedule and reported on each month.
This position provides an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong knowledge of SEO, website content creation, and technical optimisation to demonstrate their expertise and progress towards a senior SEO or strategic role in the future.
Key Responsibilities
Technical SEO Auditing & Implementation
- Conduct comprehensive technical SEO audits using industry leading SEO and Google tools
- Following recommendations from website audits and SEO marketing plans to identify and resolve crawl errors, and indexing issues. Reducing errors, site warnings, and improving overall website crawlability
- Optimise website content, URL structures and generate an internal linking strategy.
Content Creation & Optimisation
- Working as part of a team you will create SEO-friendly landing pages, blog posts, and service pages.
- Optimise on-page elements including headings, meta data, structured content, and image alt texts.
- Carry out keyword research to guide content strategy and ensure alignment with search intent to meet customer goals and objectives
- Implement structured data (Schema markup) to enhance SERP and visibility.
- Ensure all content meets technical SEO requirements for crawlability and indexing purposes.
Monitoring & Reporting
- Track keyword rankings, organic traffic performance, and technical health using analytics platforms.
- Provide detailed SEO performance reports to clients and oversee reporting within the team.
- Monitor algorithm updates and assess their impact on client campaigns.
- Maintain and update shared calendars detailing planned works for each customer.
Collaboration & Strategy
- Implement SEO recommendations and ensure technical fixes are delivered correctly.
- Follow detailed marketing plans to remove errors, warnings and to improve site performance.
- Assist the Management team in developing technical strategies that support wider digital campaigns.
Continuous Improvement
- Research and test new tools, automation opportunities, and technical SEO methodologies.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, search engine algorithm changes, and best practices.
- Contribute ideas to improve internal processes and workflows.
Skills & Experience Required
Essential:
- 2+ years’ experience in SEO with a focus on technical optimisation within a similar role.
- Strong understanding of website architecture, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript from an SEO perspective.
- Proficiency with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and at least one SEO auditing tool.
- Knowledge of structured data, canonicalisation, and robots directives.
- Ability to analyse data and draw actionable insights, creating engaging monthly reports outlining specific gains and achievements
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrate a confident telephone manner and the ability to convey technical updates clearly and accurately to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, adapt to changing priorities, and work effectively in a fast-paced agency environment.
- Previous agency experience managing multiple client accounts and campaigns.
Desirable:
- WordPress skills, including setup, build, and editing.
- Experience handling site migrations, DNS management, and file exports.
- Understanding of Core Web Vitals and techniques to optimise website performance.
- Previous team management experience.
