Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Technical Production Intern to join our team for 16 weeks. This part-time role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the technical production and management of events in a busy arts venue. The intern will focus on supporting the planning, delivery, and evaluation of live events, workshops, and community activities with an emphasis on technical production and logistics such as projection, sound and lighting.
Key Responsibilities
· Assist in the setup, operation, and maintenance of technical equipment, including lighting, sound, and AV systems.
· Support the production and coordination of live performances, exhibitions, and workshops.
· Work collaboratively with artists and production staff to ensure smooth technical delivery of events.
· Assist with venue preparation, duty management, and equipment checks.
· Help manage technical schedules, production timelines, and risk assessments.
· Support documentation and evaluation of projects through photography, video, and feedback collection.
· Undertake general administrative tasks related to technical and production management.
Who We’re Looking For
· Passionate about technical production, live events, and the arts.
· Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
· Strong communication skills and a willingness to collaborate with a diverse range of people.
· Comfortable working flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
· Some experience or knowledge of event production or live performance setup is desirable but not essential.
· Basic IT skills, including familiarity with AV software, soundboards, or lighting consoles, are a plus.
· Ideally, you will be based in Lowestoft or the surrounding areas.
