Responsibilities:
- Taking orders
- Serving food and drinks: Delivering orders promptly and with proper presentation.
- Addressing inquiries and providing recommendations: Answering questions about menus, products, or services.
- Handling complaints and concerns: Resolving customer issues professionally and efficiently.
- Building rapport: Creating a positive and memorable experience for guests.
Operational Duties:
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization: Ensuring all customer-facing areas are tidy and presentable.
- Setting and clearing tables: Preparing tables for new guests and tidying up after meals.
- Processing payments: Handling cash, credit card transactions, and managing bills accurately.
* Communicating with back of house (BOH): Effectively relaying customer orders and special requests.
-Stocking and inventory. Ensuring adequate supplies of beverages, tableware, and other necessities.
- Assist chefs with tasks if needed.
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations
- Manage time effectively to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Requirements:
- Work well under pressure
- Fluent in English speaking
- Basic math skills for cash handling
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £12.21-£12.50 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
