We’re a small, family-run independent business with three bars across our venue, a busy restaurant, and regular functions and events. We’re looking for a confident and capable Bar Team Leader to join our team. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be trusted to lead shifts, support the wider team, and help deliver excellent service across all areas of our venue.
Key responsibilities:
- Acting as key holder when required, including opening and closing the venue
- Leading shifts on one of our three bars, ensuring smooth and efficient service
- Supervising and motivating bar staff, ensuring excellent customer service throughout the team
- Confidently preparing and serving cocktails to a high standard
- Assisting in the restaurant during busy service periods to support the team and guests
- Supporting the execution of functions and events, working with management to ensure smooth delivery
- Maintaining stock control, cleanliness and organisation across bar areas
- Handling customer queries and complaints professionally and positively
About you:
- Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role within hospitality (bar, restaurant, or events)
- Strong cocktail knowledge and the ability to train and inspire others
- Comfortable working across both bar and restaurant environments
- Experience in functions/events service, with the ability to adapt quickly to different styles of service
- Personable, approachable, and able to build great rapport with both staff and customers
- Responsible, reliable and confident working independently as well as leading a team
- Committed to delivering excellent customer service every time
Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract
Pay: Up to £13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
