About Us:
Surya Academy Limited is a leading provider of sports and educational activities for children in primary schools. We are now seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team in supporting students in the classroom and on the playground.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the class teacher in the delivery of educational and sports-based lessons.
- Provide 1:1 or small group support to students, particularly those with additional needs (SEN).
- Help manage classroom behavior and ensure a safe, inclusive environment for all students.
- Assist with planning and preparation of lessons and activities.
- Support extracurricular activities, including sports clubs, art & crafts, and other after-school programs.
- Work alongside teachers and coaches to monitor student progress and provide feedback.
- Engage students in both indoor and outdoor activities, promoting active participation.

Essential Requirements:
- Experience working with children aged 4-11 years in a school or childcare setting.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt to the needs of individual students.
- Strong communication skills and a passion for working with children.
- An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in childcare or teaching assistance (desirable but not essential).
Desirable Skills:
- Experience supporting children with SEN.
- Ability to lead or assist with sports or creative activities.
- First aid qualification (preferred).
- Multitalented individuals who can contribute both as TAs and sports coaches are highly encouraged to apply.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £89.18-£93.43 per day
