Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEND.
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external specialists to deliver personalised learning and EHC plans.
- Adapt classroom activities and resources to ensure inclusive and engaging lessons.
- Encourage positive behaviour and promote pupils’ emotional well-being.
- Take an active role in wider school life, including team meetings and enrichment activities.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualifications: Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or SEND training (desirable but not essential).
- Experience: Previous work as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant (LSA), SEN TA, or similar role.
- Skills: Strong communication, patience, empathy, and adaptability.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with PECS, Makaton, sensory strategies, or behaviour support (advantageous but not required).
- Attributes: Committed, enthusiastic, and passionate about inclusive education.
