Job Description
We are currently seeking skilled Tape and Jointers to join our growing team on a self-employed basis. The role involves working on modular buildings, carrying out internal plasterboard jointing to a professional finish. Projects are often on secure environments, so full clearance is required prior access.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and finish joints in plasterboard walls and ceilings to a high standard.
- Apply tape and jointing compounds using hand or mechanical tools.
- Sand joints to a smooth finish in preparation for decoration.
- Work from drawings and instructions to meet project requirements.
- Ensure tools and materials are used and maintained correctly.
- Adhere strictly to on-site safety and security protocols.
- Work efficiently as part of a team to meet deadlines.
Requirements
- Must be registered as Self-employed and registered for CIS.
- In-date CSCS card (mandatory).
- Extensive security clearance must be completed and approved before access to the site, which includes a DBS, where you will be required to disclose all previous convictions.
- Proven experience in Tape & jointing (including commercial or modular projects preferred).
- Own PPE, tools, and own reliable transport is a MUST (branded hi-vis will be provided and is required for H&S protocols.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in your workmanship.
- Good communication skills in the English Language are a MUST.
