Grangers International Ltd, based in Derbyshire and established in 1937, and owner of market-leading aftercare brands; Grangers, Fabsil and Cherry Blossom is on the lookout for someone to join their team to lead on sustainability initiatives. This is the role for a passionate multitasker.
THE ROLE
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about sustainability, looking for a long-term, developing role. With a passion for driving sustainability and carbon footprint initiatives this is a diverse role with an opportunity to make a difference in a fast-paced and growing business.
The chosen candidate will work closely with all teams across the business including Production, Marketing and Product to drive sustainability initiatives, building upon the practices already in place and ensure legislation is met.
- Part or full-time with flexible hours to suit the right candidate
- Hybrid, with a requirement to be in the office a minimum of one or two half days a week
- Occasional travel may be required to visit customers, distribution partners or attend trade events

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
- Developing and updating CSR policies and procedures to ensure ethical and sustainable practice
- Keeping abreast of relevant legislation, best practices, and emerging trends in CSR and sustainability.
- Tracking the progress and impact of CSR initiatives and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Report on legislation changes, keeping up to date and reporting to relevant departments including product
- Producing a sustainability report alongside the Director of Marketing and Communications
- Set out long-term sustainability goals alongside the wider team
- Build a sustainability team internally with passionate internal stakeholders
- Demonstrable results against sustainability targets
- Develop and maintain sustainability-related policies, processes and procedures
- Support the communication of sustainability updates, engagement activity, including drafting emails, report alerts and content for company websites and press releases alongside the Marketing team
- Oversee greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions tracking and reporting, helping quantify and monitor emissions
- Drive decarbonisation initiatives and ensure the business is on track with emissions reduction commitments to reach Net Zero targets.

- Demonstrate experience or environmental qualifications alongside a passion for sustainability
- Be a people person and confident communicating with consumers and customers.
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to put a hand to any tasks to support the wider business.
- Have an ability to work cross-functionally across relevant teams.
- Be a team player, proactive, positive, enthusiastic and demonstrate a ‘can do’ attitude.
- Have strong attention to detail.
- Be confident in reporting on legislation changes.
REQUIREMENTS
- At least one years’ experience in a H&S, compliance and sustainability role.
- Computer literacy – MS Outlook, Excel, Word.
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- A willingness to learn and support the wider business with development and regulatory requirements.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: £20,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 20 – 37.5 per week
