Surveyor / Senior Surveyor - Value and Risk Advisory – Prime Central London

Qualified professional support to a Senior Director on a specialist side of the Prime Central London team within UK Residential Valuation, dealing principally with statutory leasehold enfranchisement matters including valuation and negotiations of lease extensions and freehold acquisitions and related advice to institutional and corporate landlords and tenants, including housing associations.
This role would suit an adaptable person with a holistic understanding of the residential market. They must be client focussed, adaptable and capable of adopting multiple valuation methodologies. The right candidate must have a willingness to learn, will be independent and resourceful, highly numerate, and with a keen eye for detail. Fluent report writing, and strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, coupled with a desire to take on more responsibility over time. The ability and confidence to progress instructions with minimal supervision will be important. Central London based with nationwide coverage.
The role is based in our head office at 30 Warwick Street, London W1B.
Required or desirable skills and experience for this role:
- MRICS qualification (essential).
- RICS Registered Valuer.
- Solid experience in valuing residential property assets using the comparison, residual, investment capitalisation and approaches, and ideally but not necessary, under the leasehold enfranchisement legislation.
- Fluent user of MS Excel, with an ability to undertake financial modelling.
- Excellent written English, with the ability to produce high quality, accurate reports in MS Word with good attention to detail.
- Experience of direct client contact (in-person and written communications) and confidence in developing a client and professional network.
- Ability to work under pressure and to manage multiple, competing priorities.
- Committed to learning with a genuine interest in housing and valuation matters.
- Strong work ethic, with a demonstrable commitment to client service.
- Enthusiastic and self-motivated.
- Team player mentality essential.
- Driving licence.
