The Surveillance Operator will play a crucial role in maintaining a secure environment for both staff and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Monitor live video feeds from surveillance cameras to detect suspicious activities or breaches of security.
- Conduct regular checks of surveillance equipment to ensure functionality and report any malfunctions.
- Document incidents and prepare detailed reports for management review.
- Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services as necessary during incidents.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information observed during surveillance operations.
- Assist in training new staff on surveillance protocols and emergency procedures.
- Stay updated on the latest security technologies and practices to enhance operational efficiency.
Experience
- Previous experience in surveillance or security roles is preferred but not essential.
- Familiarity with first aid practices is advantageous, contributing to overall safety preparedness.
- Strong report writing skills are essential for documenting incidents accurately and clearly.
- Excellent observational skills with the ability to remain focused for extended periods.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication skills.
