Summary
I am a young man in my mid-30’s looking for a like minded individual with similar interests to myself who can provide support for 16.50 hours per week
About the role
I was born with Cerebral Palsy, and have a number of other conditions including epilepsy (controlled with medication), Lupus, Adam Oliver Syndrome and Reynards.
Although these conditions affect my day to day life, I have an excellent level of independence, and strive to maintain this with elements of support.
I live in my own home and have put in adaptions to assist me in maintaining my independence for example I use Alexa to close doors and open my curtains.. My family are very supportive and assist me if / when needed.
I am an avid collector of gothic memorabilia (especially ornaments of dragons, gargoyles and skulls), and take great pride in my collection. I am a big Manchester United fan, and one of my favorite days out would be Alton Towers.
I enjoy watching films of all genre especially the latest releases, and like going to the local cinema. I also enjoy a game of tenpin bowling in Flint or the Greyhound park.
I like going in the arcades, and enjoy going shopping both online and to the shops.
I am very socialable and chatty, with a happy, determined and positive attitude. Ideally I would like someone similar in personality who is upbeat, encouraging with a good sense of humour.
I do use a wheelchair and can transfer out of my chair into a car, or transfer into a regular seat if I’m at the pub, cinema etc – I prefer this to staying in my wheelchair.
I enjoy going to the local gym – focusing on building my strength.
Having the right person in place is important to enabling me to continue living my life the way that I want to.
