I am actively seeking experienced Learning Disability Support Workers in Cwmbran. The service supports service users with brain injury with personal care, medication administration, food preparation, and community access.
Overview:
- Title: Adults Learning Disability Support Worker

- Immediate starts available
- Pay: £13.68 p/h (inclusive of holidays)
- A full UK driving license is preferred, but not essential
- Manual Handling required (We run this course every month in our office for £25)
The role:
What you’ll be doing as a Support Worker:
You will provide therapeutic care and support to patients with autistic spectrum conditions and associated complex needs, including observing, monitoring, and keeping a record of patient conditions, treating each person with dignity, compassion, and honesty. You will be helping with their progression through a care pathway to live as independently as possible. You will have the support of a team of multi-professionals.
The candidate:
What you’ll need to be successful as a Support Worker:
- A desire to create positive outcomes for adults with Learning Disabilities and
- Empathetic, caring and resilient nature
- At least 6 months of experience working within a social care setting
- Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or are willing to obtain one
- The right to work in the UK
